We exist to celebrate and support our community.

Our Mission

Kommetjie Festival Mission Statement

The Kommetjie Community Festival is dedicated to celebrating the unique spirit and unity of our vibrant community. Our mission is to bring together residents of all ages in a joyful, inclusive, and safe environment to foster a sense of belonging and togetherness.

We are committed to uplifting our community by raising funds to support and enhance the quality of life in Kommetjie. The proceeds from our festival are devoted to:

  1. Creating safe and enjoyable living spaces: Ensuring that every resident feels secure and happy in their home environment by investing in safety initiatives and community well-being programmes.
  2. Developing amusement areas for youth: Providing our young people with engaging, constructive, and fun spaces where they can learn, grow, and play, fostering a healthy and active lifestyle.
  3. Beautifying our area: Enhancing the natural beauty of Kommetjie through projects that clean, green, and beautify our surroundings, making our community an even more delightful place to live and visit.
  4. Promoting community engagement: Encouraging active participation and
volunteerism, strengthening the bonds between neighbours, and building a resilient, cooperative community.

Through the Kommetjie Community Festival, we aim to create lasting positive impacts, celebrate our shared identity, and ensure a bright, harmonious future for all residents. Together, we are building a stronger, more vibrant Kommetjie.
