The Little Optimist Trust invites you to experience the joy of sailing in the Kom!
Locals of all ages will have the opportunity to sail an Optimist boat — a small, sturdy dinghy that’s perfect for beginners and a whole lot of fun on the water.
Each 15-minute sail costs R100 per person, with a maximum of two people per boat.
In the event of bad weather, the fun continues with massive inflatables to enjoy instead.
Meet: At the two palm trees at the Kom (where the Anything That Floats race begins)
Take off time: 11:00 – 14:00
Tickets: Limited availability — be sure to book early to secure your spot!
All funds raised from this event will be donated to the Little Optimist Trust, supporting their inspiring work and contributing to the Masi Corp Foundation.

In the unlikely event of extreme weather, we’re unfortunately unable to refund pre-purchased tickets. But don’t worry — the fun will go on! We’ll have giant floaty rings ready as a backup event, and if conditions prevent that too, all participants will receive a voucher to sail an Optimist at the Waterfront.
