To compete in the Tiny Tots Float Race, children in inflatables are pulled across the Kom by a parent.
This event is sponsored by The Little Optimist Trust, a charity on a mission to inspire children to be optimistic about their lives and futures through talks, books, movies, and hospital visits. The Little Optimist Sailing Academy empowers kids through skills training and therapy. The charity also works to refurbish and improve under-resourced medical, educational, and childcare facilities and institutions.
The best-dressed tiny tot on the day who successfully completes the Kom crossing stands to win a Learn to Sail Programme for themselves and five of their friends (valued at R3000).
